Our therapy services are offered for children and adolescents (ages 6 to 18) as well as adults (18+), and our sports therapy is open to any age.

In person appointments starting on Wednesdays, only in Columbia, Missouri.

Telehealth services are available throughout Missouri.

First Session:
    We will review and complete the needed paperwork, discuss confidentiality, and begin to explore current and historical symptoms of your presenting concern.

Second Session:
    The focus of the second session will continue to gather any further information needed for future sessions.
    We will start to identify potential areas of strength and growth and create your treatment plan which will help guide future sessions.

Trauma informed services

Trauma can be very challenging to mange on your own. When working with trauma, it is no required to rehash the traumatic event. Learning how to cope and manage the symptoms you are experiencing to live a healthier life.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

CBT is used to help us learn how to challenge our negative thinking and start having a more productive mindset.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT treatment consists of self-monitoring and learning new coping skills to manage intense emotions and urges. DBT is typically used for individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder and individuals who struggle with self-harm or suicidal ideations. However, anyone who struggles with emotional regulation can benefit from learning new skills to help cope and make life more manageable.

Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCT)

MBCT like CBT utilizes mindfulness to help learn how to slow down and focus on the here and now. Mindfulness helps us to bring awareness to how we are currently feeling and what is causing us to feel this way. It helps to slow down your thoughts and learn how to separate your thinking and feelings to be able to find more effective solutions.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a psychotherapy treatment that is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories.
